Tinder is a place that gives users a sense of comfort and confidence, it is a space where they can feel hidden however somewhat vulnerable all at the same time.

Tinder is not only an online website but it also works out from your location who is close by and offers the people closest first to the geographical side of the app is also designed to help people gain matches not only based on looks and personality matching but also because of the convenience of how close someone is, this heavily demographically dependant app also is more used in larger cities as there are not only more matches but less likelihood of ever seeing that person again however it shows people who live in smaller towns are less likely to use tinder.  The online network is made up of a virtual existence where people don't have to face real consequences of what they're doing.

Woods states that "truth is most commonly used to mean correspondence with facts or what actually occurred" (Article 1, page 2, 2001). This quote states that the truth is based on genuine facts and truths, when it comes to the space of tinder this does not occur, telling the truth about yourself and appearance is not always done.

Tactics and strategies are apart of every network, tinder uses uses strategies such as it has created an ascetically pleasing app, an easy to use profiling and chatting techniques, matching with others and having the convenience of knowing how far away people are makes the app more desirable and compatible with people. The tactics used by users such as using fake names and fake pictures for their profiles and using false facts about themselves to seem more attractive and make more people match with them.

Michael de Certeau speaks on tactical work in his book Practice of everyday life, by saying "The tactical player does not seek to complete with the institution, or take over power, but primarily seeks to fulfil his or her individual needs  behind a facade of conformity" (1984).  This is relevant to the users of tinder and how they manipulate the free flow of the app and the freedom it gives them to crate a fake persona to give others the illusion that they are someone better or more impressive than what hey are in reality, they hide begged they anonymousness of the app.

He has also stated that when "Confronted with technical infrastrucutre and a set of "rules of the game", tactical players may enrolled in gentle forms of subversion to make the prefabricated space more "habitable" and better suited to their needs" (1984).

Going from the virtual world, the online network of tinder to going out on a date creates that real and virtual space. Tinder gives users the ability to go from one to the other almost instantly, when you get a match close by it makes it easier and users more inclined to meet up rather than chatting over tinders online messenger.
