What is power in the social network field?, is it having a lot of friends or followers, having a lot likes on your pictures? What I think power is,on social media it is the level of influence a individual or a group has on their peers within their society as a whole. And I think "Twitter" a social  network is the perfect example of power in the social network field.power defintion

For those of you who don't know Twitter  is a social network that allows you to send small text messages (or tweets ) of a 140 characters to friends ,or "followers". Twitter is a very popular social network used by many different age groups, and especially used by many celebrities to keep in touch with fans and by people all over the world to break news stories or just say what they are up to at any given moment. Twitter has been great at helping people communicate quickly and in a very open manner. The small format of the tweets gives people a break from the long and fatiguing messages or emails by having the ability of just having a short message getting straight to the point. Twitter also allows to network with more people by tweeting to more people in community or common interest people of the world by Simple hash tag of a certain topic that other people may be interested in as well then in which you would be expanding your circle of  contacts in the world or community for more information this link will take you there, what is twitter.

I think twitter is a great example of power, on twitter you can promote any type business, idea, or object and it would get shown to so many different people in the world getting your topic out their in the world giving you the power that, that certain thing was your idea or business or object.

Twitter gives you this feeling that you can connect with whoever you want in the world( if they have twitter that is) and that makes you feel powerful that you are following your peers in this social media ridden world and that you are not behind or not knowing of the new trends or details about a TV series or game or any type of social media topic.

The number one thing I think twitter is so powerful is, it is so easy to follower and connect with celebrities and powerful people of the world. I know that because I'm following my idol on twitter, it gives me a sence of power as i can tweet them or reply to a tweet they did and have them possibly respond,gives me power that im not some pesent or nothing to them. it gives me power that i can follow their day to day stuff so easlly is so amazing.Twitter is truly the a mighty and powerful of social media( to me anyway ).
